Adult Social Care Mental Health Service is looking to recruit two Social Workers to be part of the Rough Sleeping Initiative (RSI) multi-disciplinary team. One role primarily covering Eastbourne, Lewes and Wealden and the other covering Hastings and Rother. Both roles will be expected to collaborate to provide cover and share learning and good practice. The East Sussex Rough Sleeping Initiative (RSI) is a multi-disciplinary programme of health, mental health, social care, substance dependency and housing specialists working collaboratively to end rough sleeping across the county. The SPOA team is the Front Door into both East Sussex Children’s Services and CAMHS. The team is comprised of qualified social workers, senior social workers, CAMHS Practitioners, Senior Early Help workers and unqualified social work staff. SPOA is the first point of contact countywide for members of the public, schools, health professionals and other professionals who are concerned about the welfare or emotional wellbeing of a young person. SPOA will screen and triage all received contacts and make decisions about where these needs sit on a Continuum of Need and which is the appropriate service for young persons and their families.
