Our social work professionals are committed, passionate and professional people who want to make a difference to the lives of the children and young people in Nottingham City. We are currently recruiting Social Work Professionals to join our citywide Duty and Assessment Service, Fieldwork and Children In Care service areas.

Duty & Assessment

Joining one of our three friendly and supportive Duty and Assessment teams, you will be providing a social work service to a highly professional standard and most importantly keeping children and families at the heart ensuring that families receive the right support at the right time. To help you make a difference we offer manageable caseloads, high-quality professional support, guidance, and excellent training and development opportunities. 

Fieldwork 

We are also currently looking for experienced, qualified Children’s Social Work professionals to join our front line fieldwork teams in the North, Central and South areas of Nottingham City. Our locality teams support Children and Young People in their local areas across all levels of need. We work in partnership with relevant agencies and families to achieve good outcomes for children. Nottingham is an early intervention city and we have invested in the use of therapeutic, multi-systemic approaches to work with families to achieve long lasting change and support frontline social work practice. 

Children In Care

We are also currently looking for experienced, qualified and Social Work England registered Children’s Social Workers to make a difference to the children in care within Nottingham City. You will be motivated and passionate about working with our children in care, able to drive plans forward and ensure that our children are placed with their permanent families as quickly as possible. If you want to make a lifelong difference to children we would love to work with you.

We welcome applications from qualified Social Work professionals who have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the frameworks that underpin Social Work practice and, are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve positive outcomes for children, by working in partnership with families and professionals to develop SMART plans to meet the needs of children.
